The Van der Brohe Arboretum property was purchased in 2018 with a vision to transform a fallow golf course into an educational arboretum and art park that is open to the community for nature appreciation, walking, photography, bird-watching, and cross-country skiing. This transformation will create habitat for wildlife, enhance the aesthetics of the community, and bring recreational opportunities to the public.
This 65 acre property is in the City of Two Rivers and within 450 feet of the East Twin River and 1.2 miles of Lake Michigan. There are two ponds on the western side of the property and a vernal pond on the northeast side. It has rolling hills where a ditch has been dug to direct water to the ditch that runs along the southern border of the property.
Van der Brohe Arboretum is sure to be a wonderful asset to the city of Two Rivers and we are proud to help preserve the property for future generations.
