"Flowing into Our Future" 2024 Event Ticket
Tickets are per person. Join us Saturday, September 28th 3:30PM-7PM for Flowing into Our Future Annual Fundraiser.
Cocktail hour and dinner followed by the highlight of the event: a lively conservation conversation with keynote speaker Dan Egan followed by a book signing. We will also have a raffle going with some unique items that you won't want to miss!
WordHaven BookHouse will be selling copies of The Devil's Element: Phosphorus and a World Out of Balance and The Death and Life of the Great Lakes at the event as well.
The event will be held at Kiwanis Park near the Sheboygan River, which is a Great Lakes Area of Concern.
Your email receipt is your ticket. All proceeds go directly to the GLC mission.

Canoe Ride Ticket for Flowing into Our Future Event
These tickets are an add-on to our Flowing into Our Future fundraiser event.
The canoe ride will be on September 28th starting at 2PM.
Space is limited to 20 people. We will have 10 canoes with 2 people per canoe.
Reserve your spot today! Single riders will be paired up. Your email is your ticket receipt.
In the event of bad weather, canoe tickets only, will be refunded.
Dan Egan for many years covered the Great Lakes for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Now he writes occasional long-form pieces about climate change for national media outlets, including the New York Times, and is a senior water policy fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's School of Freshwater Sciences. He is the author of THE DEVIL'S ELEMENT: PHOSPHORUS AND A WORLD OUT OF BALANCE and the New York Times best seller THE DEATH AND LIFE OF THE GREAT LAKES. Twice a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, he has won the Alfred I. duPont–Columbia University Award, John B. Oakes Award, AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Award, and J. Anthony Lukas Work-in-Progress Award. A graduate of the Columbia Journalism School, he lives in Milwaukee with his wife and children.

Book Club Opportunity August 8th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at WordHaven BookHouse in Sheboygan!
The book “The Life and Death of the Great Lakes” discusses the risks the Great Lakes are facing and how you can play a role in preserving them for future generations. This event will feature Kohler Manager Samantha McLelland, Program Manager – Water. Sam will be joined by Jennifer Rutten, Peter Pittner and Natalie Miller from GLC. Samantha’s passion for water and commitment to sustainable water solutions on a global scale drive her goal to inspire and support others to embrace and embed sustainable practices, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship within our operations and the communities where we live and work.
Jennifer Rutten, Glacial Lakes Conservancy Executive Director, and Peter Pittner, Board Vice
President at Glacial Lakes Conservancy, will be on hand to spark local comments. Natalie Miller,
GLC's Willow Creek Preserve Manager, will join Samantha in relating the concepts discussed to
GLC’s Willow Creek Preserve, a tributary to the Sheboygan River, a Wisconsin Great Lakes
Area of Concern.
