Ryan Zinkel,Ryan is an attorney and partner at Rohde Dales LLP in Sheboygan and focuses his practice on real estate law and estate planning. He received his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Ryan joined the Glacial Lakes Conservancy Board in 2013 and currently serves as the Secretary.
Ryan’s interest in GLC stems from the uniqueness of conservation easements and the concept of rights and obligations that exist in perpetuity. He takes great joy in knowing what GLC has been able to accomplish in preserving Willow Creek, Amsterdam Dunes, and many other properties. Encouragement to take action has come from the reading of Aldo Leopold’s Sand County Almanac and The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. Ryan grew up in Manitowoc with fond memories of family visits to Woodland Dunes, Point Beach, Peninsula Park, Potawatomi Park, High Cliff, Cato Falls, Maribel Caves and many other beautiful places. As an adult he and his family have explored many other parks and natural areas with hopes his children will similarly be instilled with a love of the outdoors. Ryan’s hobbies include running, hiking, biking and kayaking. He also takes great joy in a strong dark roast coffee or an excellent meal of locally sourced foods accompanied by a microbrew. |
