Marsh Haven - Conservation Easement

County: Fond du Lac

Lot Size: 89.667 acres

Established: 09/28/2023

Property Story

Marsh Haven is located within the Milwaukee River Watershed in the Lake Michigan Basin, abuts agricultural lands, and is near the Northern Extent of the Kettles in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. This Protected Property consists of 89.667 acres of marshland, flat bottomlands, and flooded woodlands, with .95 miles of the Milwaukee River flowing alongside the property. The land is undeveloped and managed for habitat and ecosystem health in addition to being used as hunting land. Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) through their Greenseams program was able to help fund the conservation easement and assist in future management for the property. MMSD will act as a secondary easement holder and work with GLC to ensure this property remains a protected haven!
