​Greg Zahn

​Greg Zahn, GLC board member since 2019 was raised in Appleton and moved back to the area in 2014 after practicing as a LEED certified architect in Washington DC.  While in DC he earned his Master Naturalist certification and a graduate certificate in Environmental Policy.

Through family ties to Rotary, Greg went to Kenya in 2010 to study Permaculture. He has been working with Kenya farmers ever since.  Permaculture led Greg to get involved with local food close to home as partner in the HUB Studio Café, a local food café in Plymouth and as a board member of statewide Wisconsin Local Food Network since 2015. 

​In 2014 Greg founded Circle Union Farm, a sustainable permaculture farm and recently moved to land on English Lake in Manitowoc County that belonged to his grandparents.  Greg continues his love of architecture with involvement in preservation of rural historic structures and natural building.
