John Knier

John is a native of Kiel, Wisconsin.  He was drawn to conservation and sustainability by personal experiences in his youth.  John first became involved with GLC when he and his wife Julie put their Manitowoc County land in a conservation easement with GLC.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from West Point and a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin.  He has worked in the business and legal field for over 30 years and he currently serves as Corporate Secretary of LaForce, LLC in Green Bay, Wisconsin. John and Julie have three adult children and one grandchild and they get outdoors to enjoy nature whenever they can.  

GLC's mission to permanently preserve and protect land and water resources for future generations is important to John and he appreciates opportunities to help the organization.
